Cycling Ireland and CUSAI (Association of Irish University Sports) will be supporting a team at the World University Cycling Championships, which will be held in Antwerp, Belgium from 22nd-26th March 2006.
The Irish Universities Cycling Team will consist of six men and one lady. The lady will 'double-up', riding both the time trial event and the road race. Similarly, two men will 'double-up', riding both events also.
All competitors must be born between January 1st, 1978 and December 31st, 1988
Only the following may participate as competitors in the Universiade:
a) students who are officially registered for and pursuing a full time course of study at a university or similar institute whose status as a university is recognised by the appropriate national academic authority of their country;
b) former students of the institutions mentioned in a) who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year preceding the event.
