Hambrook Time Trials To Yellow in Donegal

Sean Hambrook from New Zealand seized the Yellow Jersey in this morning's Time Trial stage of Ras Dhun na nGall.

The French based junior stormed along the mountain valley of An Abhainn Bui cresting the climb at Lagunna in a staggering time of seven minutes.

He was two seconds faster than Mike Ryder of the Galway Bay team and a further three ahead of UCD's Ian Richardson.
Hambrook races with the VCC Morteau team in Eastern France and has travelled to Donegal this weekend with Dubliner Darragh Zaidan, who is also riding with the French outfit this year.

Many thanks to all the marshalls, back-up crews and motorbike outriders as well as the local Gardai. Thanks also to Radio Tour Gary McIlroy and Comms Jack Watson, Mark Kavanagh, Oliver McKenna and Paul Devenney.
