Get Well Soon Mary and Alan

Officers of the Cycling Ulster Executive and all our members wish Mary McKee, (Ballymena Scott Tiles) a speedy recovery from her injuries. Mary, A former member of the Cycling Ulster Executive, came down on a training run last weekend and broke her pelvis. She will be hopitalised for six weeks and has a long recovery period after that.

Mary was one of our top women cyclists and oftern represented Cycling Ulster in events such as the Danny Boy and the TQ Women's International.

In recent years she moved on to try her hand at Marathon running, competing in many of the top events. She came back into cycling in the last year or so moving from her old club, Phoenix CC to Ballymena.

We hope you make a complete recovery and are back on the bike soon Mary.

Alan Lavery
Alan Lavery continues to make progress but it will be a long slow process. He has to lie on his back for three months before he can undergo an operation and is currently feeling very frustrated. I'm sure Alan would love to be back on his bike training, giving Liam Curran a run for his money.

We are all still thinking of you Alan and hope that you will be fit enough to have the operation in the near future.

All your friends in cycling wish both of you a speedy recovery

Marian
